Marketing Agency 789, Inc. Opens Office in Downtown Covina, Expands Key Staff

Covina, Calif., Oct. 27, 2014—789 Inc., an award-winning marketing and creative agency focused on designing strategic branding and communications for public agencies and midsized businesses, has launched a new office space in downtown Covina and expanded its offerings with the integration of new hires, including renowned photographer, Mac Danzig, who join keystone staff, including Vice President and art director Richard Silva.

Founded by Charley Bell in 2009, 789, Inc. has been behind the successful marketing and communications campaigns for a range of public agencies and businesses, including OCTA, Athens Services, UCI, and over a dozen southern California cities, with its work on the ExplorOcean Biennial Report 2012 garnering the agency a 2013 MarCom Award.

“I’m thrilled to open an office here in Downtown Covina,” said Charley Bell, founder and president of 789, Inc. “My heart is in this city—my wife and I co-own the dance studio, Room 2 Dance, and we’re raising our family in this community. Bell began his career in marketing while an undergrad at Cal Poly Pomona where he was recognized for his unique “no budget” approach to developing effective marketing campaigns. Subsequently, Bell utilized his budget-conscious prowess to generate support for Santa Monica’s “Smoke-Free Beach” ordinance, which spearheaded 88 miles of smoke-free southern California coastline, all the while managing an award-winning, statewide early breast cancer awareness campaign for the State of California.

Since laying down roots in Covina, 789 Inc. has made a significant impact on nearby businesses. Already, 789 Inc. has designed the branding for Lockjaw Garage, Collector’s Alley, Gano Excel, The Red Hat Society, MORE Covina, and the 2012 Thunderfest Car and Music Festival.
