From Code to Culture… Step Inside UCLA DataX

What started as a bold brand vision for UCLA’s DataX initiative has evolved into a fully realized identity that bridges data, ethics, and human experience at one of the world’s leading research universities.

789, Inc. led the charge in building a dynamic brand system rooted in innovation, inclusion, and responsibility. From immersive brand strategy and messaging frameworks to pixel-perfect visual design, we crafted a visual language that speaks to both scholarly rigor and public accessibility. Our team developed cohesive digital assets, experiential wall graphics, swag kits, motion-driven social campaigns, and a launch video that introduced the new brand with energy and purpose.

Inside Murphy Hall, we helped reimagine the DataX space as a collaborative hub, complete with interactive installations, identity-driven signage, and environmental storytelling that invites dialogue and creativity. Across campus (and the web), we equipped the DataX team with tools to inform, inspire, and engage students, faculty, and funders alike from branded newsletters to course marketing and event materials.

This isn’t just a new look. It’s a reintroduction of UCLA DataX as a powerful force at the intersection of data, technology, and humanity. With more campaigns, partnerships, and stories on the horizon, the future of DataX is only just beginning.
