Bringing clarity, confidence, and real-world context to a new kind of portable energy

Mattur is redefining how power is generated, stored, and deployed across construction, infrastructure, and energy markets. When they partnered with 789, the opportunity wasn’t just to showcase a product, it was to help introduce an entirely new system in a way that people could understand, trust, and adopt.

We jumped in to translate complexity into clarity. From modular power units to hybrid wind integration, we focused on making the technology feel real, approachable, and grounded in jobsite application. We refined Mattur’s messaging to speak directly to crews, operators, and decision-makers, ensuring the value was clear within seconds, not minutes.

Visually, we developed a system that emphasized strength, scalability, and flexibility. Through realistic product renderings, environmental mockups, and clean, structured layouts, we helped bring the product out of concept and into the real world. Every touchpoint was designed to reinforce one thing: this isn’t theoretical, it works where it matters most.

We also extended the brand into experiential design, developing concepts for touchscreen interactions and trade show environments that communicate Mattur’s system in under 60 seconds. By combining clear messaging with purposeful design, we created tools that support both marketing and sales in high-impact environments.

From A1 to 100… Introducing Hundred House

What began as a strategic rebrand for A1 Party Rentals evolved into the launch of Hundred House… a new name and identity that reflects decades of growth, expanded capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to care, service, and scale.

Our nerdy team at 789, Inc. partnered closely with Hundred House to guide the transformation from the ground up. From brand strategy and positioning to naming refinement, visual identity, and messaging, we helped articulate a brand built around relationships, trust, and delivering at 100 percent. The work extended into a robust website redesign, immersive video content, sales and marketing tools, experiential brand environments, and a cohesive rollout strategy designed to support both internal teams and external audiences.
More than a new look, the Hundred House brand signals an evolution that honors a 65-plus year legacy while positioning the company as a premier event rental partner for Southern California and beyond. This ongoing collaboration continues to bring the brand to life through storytelling, content, and experiences that showcase the people, projects, and purpose behind every event.

The illustrations were AI-assisted—but human-refined. Why? Because the campaign deserved visual energy and a style that reflected trends that resonated with youth and today’s visual culture—but also needed to stay within a tight timeline and budget.

We used tech to push boundaries, then added our creative polish to bring each fantastical scene to life. When budget and timeline are tight, innovation matters. This campaign didn’t cut corners—it carved new ones.

From in-depth research and naming exploration to full brand strategy, identity design, and implementation, our nerdy team at 789 led the transformation with a refreshed name and positioning strategy rooted in stewardship and service. We created a bold new look inspired by water’s resilience and movement, with a user-first website that informs, educates, and connects. With branded signage, materials, video, and presentations that unify the experience, we have helped to create internal campaigns and messaging that align teams with purpose.

From Code to Culture… Step Inside UCLA DataX

What started as a bold brand vision for UCLA’s DataX initiative has evolved into a fully realized identity that bridges data, ethics, and human experience at one of the world’s leading research universities.

789, Inc. led the charge in building a dynamic brand system rooted in innovation, inclusion, and responsibility. From immersive brand strategy and messaging frameworks to pixel-perfect visual design, we crafted a visual language that speaks to both scholarly rigor and public accessibility. Our team developed cohesive digital assets, experiential wall graphics, swag kits, motion-driven social campaigns, and a launch video that introduced the new brand with energy and purpose.

Inside Murphy Hall, we helped reimagine the DataX space as a collaborative hub, complete with interactive installations, identity-driven signage, and environmental storytelling that invites dialogue and creativity. Across campus (and the web), we equipped the DataX team with tools to inform, inspire, and engage students, faculty, and funders alike from branded newsletters to course marketing and event materials.

What began as a citywide branding initiative has evolved into a comprehensive effort to modernize how Santa Fe Springs shows up across every point of contact. Partnering closely with City of Santa Fe Springs, our nerdy team at 789, Inc. was brought in to complete and elevate the City’s rebrand by translating research and strategy into a bold, forward-looking identity system.

From refining and finalizing the new logo to developing a cohesive brand guide, we focused on creating a mark that is modern, marketable, and scalable. That foundation is now being applied across the City’s Community Guide and newsletters, wayfinding and environmental signage, digital assets, and department-level materials. Each application reinforces clarity, consistency, and civic pride, while allowing flexibility for real-world use across print, digital, and physical environments.

This work is more than a new look. It is a framework for connection. We partnered with a leading Southern California public relations and communications firm, and Orange County Public Libraries to create a vibrant, youth-friendly experience—in English and Spanish—that included a custom site, video, and bold visuals. The result was “¡Oh Sí!”—a bilingual, curiosity-sparking campaign built to connect with youth and families in both English and Spanish. But beyond the messaging and visuals, the story of how we created this campaign is just as important as the final product.

We were thrilled to work with Microsoft to launch their new Silicon Valley campus with a campaign that celebrated its redevelopment as their smartest, greenest office yet. We incorporated the word “Together” with the campaign “To Get Here” to highlight the collaborative effort the team took to reach this milestone. Iconography from campus illustrations ensured consistency for the in-person brand experience, and we used the new color palette to capture the team’s excitement about their new work home.

A MAJOR-ly cool drink!

Teaming up with Sorse Technology to brand
their line of cannabis-based beverages.

We are currently working on a brand refresh for Sorse Technology’s flagship THC beverage, Major. They have also asked 789 to develop a bridge brand for a new product they were releasing called Major Shots. We wanted to celebrate the original island feel while also celebrating where the products were invented… in Washington! So, we made Mt. Rainier the symbol for these powerful fruit-flavored shots of yummy goodness! As THC is slowly being normalized throughout the US, 789 gave each bottle a unique design personality while maintaining the new Major Shot branding for consistency. These colorful bottles standout on a shelf, but are small enough to easily carry without causing a lot of attention. Each bottle was designed for a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience.
